The name of the University is the Ernest Bai Koroma University of Science and Technology (EBKUST), and comprises the following colleges: ⦁ Magburaka University College (incorporating the Government Technical Institute 'GTI'), Magburaka (this College currently houses the Secretariat of the University). ⦁ Makeni University College (incorporating Teko Veterinary Institute); ⦁ Port Loko University College
A wide range of programmes will, therefore, be offered that respond to the development needs of the nation, while also not neglecting the aspirations of the individual student. These programmes should also be easily accessible to eligible candidates. Faculties, institutes and centres are located in specific colleges in which the Deans/Directors are normally domiciled. Programmes of the Faculties, however, could be accessed from any of the colleges which candidates find more convenient to reach. In this arrangement, Parity of esteem of course content and delivery is assured by rigorous administrative supervision that is based on harmonisation of course outlines, lecturer exchanges, team teaching, and a centralised examination system. Dr. Foday Pinka Sankoh is Dean (ad interim) of the Faculty of Education. Dr. Allieu Badara Kabia is currently a lecturer and Sub-Dean (ad interim), Faculty of Social Sciences Dr. Maurice Baimba Kargbo is Dean (ad interim), Faculty of Agriculture and Natural Resources Management, and Director of the Centre for Continuing and Distance Education. Dr. Brima Turay is currently a lecturer and Dean (ad interim), Faculty of Business and Entrepreneurship. Mr. John Boaart Kanu is Dean (ad interim), Faculty of Media and Cultural Studies. He holds a Master's degree (M.ED) in Educational Administration. Abdul Karim Koroma is Dean (ad interim) of the Faculty of Religious and Inter-faith Studies. He holds a Master of Arts in Peace and Development Studies (PADS). Mr. Albert Saybom Turay is currently the Dean (ad interim), Faculty of Social Sciences. He holds a Master of Science (M.SC) in Rural Development.
